"Night, dark beyond darkness, and the days more grey each one than what had gone before..."
Being a keen book reader, from time to time I come across books that makes more impression on me than the rest. Cormac McCarthy’s The Road is surely one of those that has made a lasting impression on me. A father and his son is somewhere in a forest just after an all altering apocalypse-like state of the earth. The world has ceased to be in the state that we know it, we are never told why it is so, but everything, absolutely everything is ruined and in a perfect state of misery...
This is nothing short of a breathtaking read!
Personally I recommend listening to the audioversion, impeccably read by: Tom Stechschulte
