It is my experience that there are a lot of people not knowing the possibilities that exist for all their photos.
I know that most hobby photographers and semi-pro photographers tend to leave most of their portfolio on their hard drives. In the wake of the now omnipresent internet you now have the option of earning some confidence as well as money on selling your best photos to whoever might need them.
Mind you, if you do this, the copyright of the images remains with you.
